Joe Gould is an accomplished and multi-disciplined musician with a background in orchestral and art music performance.
Graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2004 with a B.Mus (Perf), Joe has gone on to found The Crooked Fiddle Band - festival favourites around the world, and critically acclaimed for their two albums recorded with cult studio engineer Steve Albini (Nirvana, PJ Harvey, Dirty Three).
Sparked by a family background in film, Joe has developed a passion for screen composition and collaborating with directors and producers. His stylistic diversity can be seen across moody soundscapes (Let’s Talk About Sects podcast), delicate percussion (Gecko), catchy indie rock (Openair Cinemas TVC) and ethereal strings and brass (Now You See Her).
Adaptable and communicative, passionate for both originality and a memorable musical experience, Joe is currently working on a new short film project and is available to hire for more.
